
Displays the Name and Section of the Class you are currently in. Displays teacher's name. Clicking opens an e-mail window to his or her e-mail address.Brings up Class Announcements created by the teacher. Brings up professional biographies for all faculty in the class. Bios may include photos, education and experience, links to their webpages, and e-mail addresses. Sliding Class Menu contains a listing if the different aspects in the Classroom. If you select an item from the Menu it will slide to the left to reveal that submenu. To get the menu back after it has slid, click on the words 'Class Menu'. WebTycho Main Work Area. When items on the Class Menu are selected, their content will appear here. Class Announcements is the first section in view upon entering the class. Selecting this button will bring up a short list of the classes you are enrolled in. In this menu, if 'more' is selected, a full class listing will appear in the Work Area. Technical notices posted by WebTycho Support appear here as system-wide announcments. Selecting this button will bring up a list of options available to you. These options include changing the Account Preferences or Self Registering into the current TOUR101. From Account Preferences you can change your e-mail address, WebTycho password, and other advanced settings. Selecting this button will bring up a list of Library options to go to from WebTycho. These include Library Services, Reference Assistance, Victor Web, and the Web Databases. To find out more about the Library go to the Library Services Page either using this function or by going to http://www.umuc.edu/library/ols.html Selecting this button will bring up a list of ways to get help with using WebTycho. Options included a Help site, an asynchronus conference, a Real Time chat session, and an e-mail connection to WebTycho Support. Selecting this button will log you out of your current WebTycho session, and return you to the Login screen. The chat awareness function, if turned on by the instructor, will allow you to see how many class members are online at the same time. Selecting the Who link brings up a listing of which class members are online, and gives you the opportunity to send them an instant message.
